Read the whole app picture
Start with an app’s category, rating, and rating count rather than a single headline number. The Apps table brings those signals together with estimated monthly revenue, estimated monthly downloads, total download information where available, and release and update dates. Separating the original release from the latest update helps distinguish a new product from an established app that is still maintained. Choose Google Play or App Store to research the published listings for that store.
Compare estimates with the listing
Monthly revenue and downloads are calculated research estimates, not verified developer earnings or exact store download counts. A store install range describes a different measure from an estimated monthly download rate. Open an app to see its published description and details, then follow its Google Play or App Store link to review the current listing. Use several comparable apps to form a benchmark instead of treating one estimate as a forecast.
Build a focused comparison
Search for a product or topic, narrow the category, and compare apps addressing the same user need. Look at ratings, product positioning, maintenance dates, and the available market signals together. Record what your proposed app would improve and test that assumption with prospective users. Free accounts offer a limited set of published results; Pro adds broader access and detailed analysis. Research coverage depends on what the site owner has published, so an absent field means the value is unavailable.
